How to create your own Firmware/Driver Baseline?
One of the disadvantages of this portal is that we can't create global firmware/driver baselines.
You need to create them by yourself and with an unique name. We are going to create two different baseline types for your account.
One baseline that starts with "NO Reboot - (Your username)" , that means that Dell servers will NOT reboot when you execute this baseline.
And the other baseline type start with "Reboot needed - (Your username)", that means that the Dell server will rebooted during the update process.
How?
From the OpenManage Enterprise menu, under Configuration, click Firmware/Driver Compliance.
Click on Create Baseline button
and fill in the field of Catalog: OMEVV_Dell Default Catalog
and provide a Baseline Name: NO Reboot - (your username)
and check the box with "Select only components with no reboot required".
Click on Next button.
Configure Target:
- Select Groups and click on Selected Groups.
- Click on the Static Group that you see. The name of the group starts with your own region:
- Click on the OK button.
- Click on Finish to create the first of the two firmware baselines.
You will do the same for the second firmware baseline (Reboot needed - (Your username)).
IMPORTANT: You leave "Select only components with no reboot required" --> UNCHECKED.
This is what you see after you created two Firmware Baselines:
