Issue: User have recently invoiced Monarch Exports, with the bill-to address listed as Monarch Maharashtra and the ship-to address as Emagine Fabrics, Tirupur. The customer has requested user the tax system on the invoice be represented as IGST (18%). However, our invoices currently display SGST (9%) and CGST (9%).

Solution: Integrated Goods and Services Tax (inter-state-IGST) refers to the delivery of the goods to a customer located in different state. IGST is computed if the delivery address is in a different state as the warehouse state. In addition, the request that the tax decision should be based on the invoice address instead of the delivery address is an enhancement request, not an error. This was not intended when the solution was designed and the behavior cannot be changed as a correction. It would require parameter set up to control the behavior and a lot of development would have to be done to get the new behavior in place.
