Issue

User cannot edit, delete, or update the documents in SharePoint document library, even though user is given the correct permissions.

 

Solution 1

Clear browser history

  1. Go to Edge/Chrome browser. Click on … on top right of browser.

 

  1. Click on Settings

 

  1. Click on ‘Privacy, search, and services’

 

  1. Go to ‘Clear browsing data’, click on ‘Choose what to clear’

 

  1. Select ‘All time’ and check all the selections (except Passwords)

 

  1. Click on ‘Clear now’

 

Solution 2

Use private windows or incognito mode

  1. Go to Edge/Chrome browser. Click on … on top right of browser

 

  1. Select ‘New inPrivate window’ or ‘New Incognito window’

 

  1. Enter office.com in browser URL. You will need to sign to your Office 365 account.

 

 

 

  1. Go to the SharePoint document library and check if the permission are working properly.
