Hi, here we are going to see how to design a power bi report template using Power bi desktop, we have total 2 types of templates as following. We can use anyone of the following based on our user accessibility.

  • Non-Floating Panel
  • Floating panel

Note: Before introducing the templates, if you have any queries or need detailed explanation on building the following templates.

Please contact or reach to Me(B Poornachandra Rao) or  Adriano Di Toppa(my manager). So, that we will be able to help

you out and make your work more easy and precise.

Lets get started,

Background color for all pages will be #CCCCCC with 60% Transparency

Non-Floating Panel: We can prefer this template when we dont want to hide the filters. Where the filters will be

displayed on screen/report along with other visuals. We can use this when we have a smaller

                                    number of visuals

Floating Panel: We can prefer this template when we want to hide/unhide the filters, where we have too many filters or

Visuals on screen/report and disturbing the readability of the data in the visuals. We can use this when

we have a greater number of visuals.

    • To make it more visually interactive, we will place Chevron arrow shape on top of the circle. Which acts like back/close icon.

    • Please follow the image for the properties.

      • Now, finally we will place an erase icon to clear all filters at once on just a click. Steps are as follows
