This article describes how to identify which data source is used by a Power Query or a Power BI file.


In Excel, from the main menu, click on Data->Queries and connections



Double click on any of the visible objects in the Queries section; the Power Query editor will open.



Click on Data source settings


the following panel will appear



The table shows the possible values which can appear in the data source panel and related information on data refresh rate.

If you are using a Power BI report, from the main menu click on Transform data-> Data source setting
