Starting the application
- To start Avaya Communicator for Windows
- Double-click the Avaya Communicator icon on your desktop
- Select Start > Avaya > Avaya Communicator.
Login to Avaya Communicator
- In the Extension box, enter your extension
- In the Password box, enter your password
- Click the Login button
Make Call
- Enter number on quick dial field, click call.
- Click on the dial pad and click number, click call.
Receive Call
- When receive a call, the incoming call panel appears, displaying the Answer and Ignore buttons.
- To answer a call, click the Answer button for the call.
- To ignore an incoming call, click the Ignore button for the call. Ringing stops for this call.
Hold Call
- Click Hold in the conversation window.
- The Hold button turns blue.
- To resume a call on hold, click the Hold button.
Transfer Call
- During the call, Click new conversation.
- Look for the contact that you want to transfer the call to. Click and drag the contact to current call.
- Click Transfer.
- A message informs you when the transfer is successful, and the call is automatically terminated on your end.
Conference Call
- Make call to 1st party (S7 in the picture).
- Make call to 2nd party (62982249 in the picture). Click new conversation, can drag from contact or enter number then click add.
- Click call after adding the number.
- During this time, the 1st call will be put on hold. Drag the 2nd call to 1st call or drag the 1st call to 2nd call on the conversation window.
- Click Merge.
- The 2 calls will now become a conference call.
End Call
- Click the End button on conversation window.
