Example 1: started orders, not fully reported.

  1. Select orders in sts below 90 = open manufact. orders (finished order has sts 90).
  2. Actual start date: if        any transaction is reported for a manufacturing order, the earliest reporting date is the actual start date of the order.
  3. Right next to the actual start date, there is a column with the start date = planned start date (= start date entered in PMS001 when creating the order).
  4. Order status: when the order is fully reported, the order has status 90.
  5. Material status: this is the lowest material status; if all used material lines are fully reported, this should be sts 99.
  6. Recd qty = qty received from production; if quality department has reported lis and PMS130 put away, the same quantity should be in column  6, Manuf qty.
  7. C: if blank, the order has not been costed yet; information for Finance Dept.

Above selection enables verification for all users involved in the manufacturing order flow, to see if their part of the flow is fully reported. This also allows financial dept to verify which started orders are still open (with regard to month closing procedures, WIP accounts).

Example 2: Orders not started yet.

This selection, leaving the actual start date blank, makes it easier to see if existing orders still should be used, rescheduled or maybe even should be deleted, so they will not affect planning / MRP calculations.
